Strong Presence of TMEDE at the 89th Thessaloniki International Fair

The participation of the Engineers & Public Works Contractors Fund (TMEDE) in the 89th Thessaloniki International Fair was successfully concluded, attracting strong visitor interest and reaffirming the Fund’s pivotal role in supporting the technical community and fostering new entrepreneurship.
The joint TEE–TMEDE pavilion emerged as a key point of reference for a wide range of visitors, including government officials, members of parliament, executives of technical and construction companies, freelance engineers, young professionals and representatives of the wider construction sector. Discussions focused primarily on access to financing tools, guarantee mechanisms and the available support options for both new and established technical enterprises.
Visitors received in-depth information on TMEDE’s initiatives and financial instruments, including:
  • Guarantee Programmes, which facilitate engineers’ and technical companies’ participation in public and private tenders through the issuance of guarantee letters (bid bonds, performance guarantees, advance payment guarantees, etc.), without the requirement for collateral.
  • Microfinance loans of up to €25,000, offered on favourable terms and without collateral, primarily addressed to freelance professionals, young engineers and small technical firms, providing immediate liquidity to support day-to-day operations.
  • Financing of up to €400,000, through partnerships with banking institutions, covering investment projects, working capital needs or refinancing, enhancing financial flexibility and supporting business growth.
  • Initiatives supporting youth and innovative entrepreneurship, aimed at encouraging new ideas, sustainable development and technological progress within the technical sector.
Throughout the Fair, TMEDE’s executives engaged directly with visitors, recording the sector’s needs and presenting the full range of services provided by the Fund. This interaction further underscored TMEDE’s ongoing commitment to act as a reliable institutional partner and a key financial pillar for the country’s technical community.
TMEDE’s presence at the 89th Thessaloniki International Fair highlighted its consistent strategic focus on supporting entrepreneurship, liquidity and the professional development of engineers and technical companies, at a time when access to modern financial tools is more critical than ever.
