The operation of the new Guarantee Fund for the support of Construction and Design Companies is initiated as a result of the partnership between TMEDE and the Hellenic Development Bank – HDB<\/h3><\/h1><\/div>

From\u00a0Friday, October 1st, 2021<\/strong>, the new\u00a0“HDB-TMEDE Guarantee Fund”\u00a0<\/strong>will be fully operational, following the\u00a0first cooperation between the Hellenic Development Bank – HDB\u00a0<\/strong>and a private entity,\u00a0the Engineers and Public Works Contractors Fund (TMEDE).<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Fund is an essential tool, implemented immediately in an effort by the\u00a0Hellenic Development Bank<\/strong>\u00a0to support and facilitate financing for Greek engineers, designers and constructors,\u00a0<\/strong>after signing the\u00a0Memorandum of Understanding with TMEDE on May 17th, 2021<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The new Fund aims to\u00a0provide guarantees for loans\u00a0<\/strong>granted by the\u00a0nine cooperating banks\u00a0<\/strong>(Alpha Bank, National Bank of Greece, Eurobank, Piraeus Bank, Attica Bank, Optima Bank, Cooperative Bank of Thessaly, Cooperative Bank of Karditsa and Cooperative Bank of Epirus), to facilitate credit for\u00a0Greek engineers, designers, constructors,\u00a0<\/strong>but also for the\u00a0thousands of scientists, freelancers,\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0small and medium-sized enterprises.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fast loans up to 200.000\u20ac with favourable terms<\/p>\n

Through the “HDB-TMEDE Guarantee Fund”, <\/strong>all beneficiaries that have undertaken the execution of a project or design of public interest can receive working capital<\/strong>, through bank loans, up to 200,000\u20ac, <\/strong>with the Hellenic Development Bank (HDB) and TMEDE <\/strong>assuming part of the risk by providing a guarantee to the <\/strong>banks for 80% <\/strong>of the financing.<\/p>\n

In this way, the difficulties of obtaining loans <\/strong>for thousands of freelancers and businesses are alleviated, <\/strong>making the process easier, faster and significantly cheaper for all parties.<\/p>\n
