Konstantinos Makedos: Through TMEDE Microfinance Solutions, young engineers and freelancers can turn their business plans into reality<\/h3><\/h1><\/div>
The President of\u00a0Engineers & Public Works Contractors Fund (TMEDE)<\/b>,\u00a0Konstantinos Makedos<\/b>, participated in the presentation event of the new Microfinance Fund managed by the\u00a0Hellenic Development Bank<\/b>, organised by the\u00a0Bank of Greece<\/b>.<\/div>\n
The event was attended by the Governor of the Bank of Greece,\u00a0Yannis Stournaras<\/b>, the Alternate Minister of National Economy and Finance,\u00a0Nikos Papathanasis<\/b>, and the Chief Executive Officer of the Hellenic Development Bank,\u00a0Ismini Papakyrillou<\/b>.<\/div>\n

TEPIX III Microfinance Fund<\/b><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The new\u00a0TEPIX III Microfinance Fund<\/b>\u00a0provides financing of up to\u00a0\u20ac25,000<\/b>, without collateral, addressing a critical financing gap in the market. Co-financing rates reach\u00a060% for general entrepreneurship<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a075% for women-led entrepreneurship<\/b>, offering particularly favourable terms for small-scale business initiatives.<\/div>\n
Through its subsidiary,\u00a0TMEDE Microfinance Solutions<\/b>, TMEDE has entered into a new partnership with the Hellenic Development Bank to participate in the TEPIX III scheme. This collaboration ensures direct access to attractive financing for young engineers, freelancers and small businesses, with a strong focus on supporting women\u2019s entrepreneurship.<\/div>\n

Statements by the President of TMEDE<\/b><\/div>\n
During the panel discussion that followed\u2014featuring the three companies active in the microfinance sector\u2014Mr Makedos highlighted the broader multiplier effects of the TEPIX III Microfinance Fund on the economy and entrepreneurship.<\/div>\n
He outlined the financing opportunities offered by TMEDE Microfinance Solutions to small and very small enterprises within the technical sector, stressing that:<\/div>\n

\u201cStrengthening these businesses also serves a national priority: safeguarding infrastructure and ensuring the successful implementation of Recovery and Resilience Facility projects, as well as the restoration works following natural disasters.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n
Referring specifically to the performance of TMEDE Microfinance Solutions, Mr Makedos noted that since the launch of its pioneering digital platform in\u00a0June 2023<\/b>, the Fund has received\u00a0439 applications<\/b>, approved\u00a0355 disbursements<\/b>, and provided more than\u00a0\u20ac7.4 million<\/b>\u00a0in financing to\u00a0328 active borrowers<\/b>.<\/div>\n

He also underlined the strong market response to the new programme, as within just\u00a015 days<\/b>\u00a0of the launch of TEPIX III, more than\u00a0195 applications<\/b>\u00a0were submitted to TMEDE Microfinance Solutions, with the following key characteristics:<\/div>\n
